My name’s Marie, and I’m an author. It might sound a bit pretentious to put it like that, but when you write novels, you’ve got to own it at some point, haven’t you?

I learnt to read at the age of three, and I’ve never put books down since. In another life, I was a lecturer in medieval history. Then one day I finally plucked up the courage to give it a go: a few words on a blank page, ‘Chapter 1 – She’, and off I went.
